Brett Woods
Fractional CFO | Strategic Finance Partner to Founder-Led Companies | Growth, Cash & Capital Strategy | ex-KPMG
About
I work with founder-led companies as a fractional CFO, helping CEOs make clearer decisions about growth, cash, and capital.
When results don’t match expectations, I dig into what’s driving margins, cash flow, and operating performance — and translate that into practical action. Sometimes that means building stronger financial infrastructure. Other times, it means serving as an independent, steady voice on strategy and capital allocation.
Before going fractional, I held senior finance and operating leadership roles at Cox Automotive with P&L responsibility across multi-entity businesses. I began my career at KPMG.
I bring an operator’s mindset and a bias toward clarity.

I work as a fractional CFO for owner-led and mid-market businesses, focusing on performance, forecasting, budgeting, and margin improvement. In some cases that means building more consistent financial reporting and rhythm.
